The files are usually compressed as 7Z files and the ISO needs to be extracted. You can legally download the ROMS for the games you own. You can download the ISO files from for a full list of their PlayStation 1 ROMS. Now all you need is a PlayStation CD or an ISO file. Start the ‘PCSX’ program and you should see a screen similar to Figure 1. Įxtract the ‘scph7502.bin’ file you downloaded previously and place it in ‘~/.pcsx/bios’ folder. I've come across this type of thing on commercial cheat systems which I've used in the past and it would be nice to apply it here. The PlayStation console, now referred to as the PlayStation 1, was released in 1994. This is a small issue in many ways, but solving it would make it easier when selecting cheats for particular levels. Is it possible to do what I'm hoping for and, if so, how would I need to enter those headings in the. Ideally, I'd like my cheats selection window to look something like this: However, they are actually intended to be used for different levels. Obviously this looks like the same two cheats, listed twice. However, I was wondering if there is a way to denote different sections of the. Thanks to the Codeplex discussions, I am now able to create. Also i think it would make a great hardware plugin if he so wanted to turn it into that because hardware accelerated plugins are faster. Most other systems plugins are still being worked on but not so much on the psx side of things i think edgbla's is the newest and hes trying to fill that gap for all systems but itd be nice if it was open source so what happened with petes plugins didn’t happen with his. It seem like there was a wall put up at some point where psx emulator plugins just stopped moving forward. That is the reason if it was im sure they would include it like they do the P.E.Ops plugins. And i can answer your question why they dont include edgbla's its because its not opensource. But i love my psx games to much to remove windows at the moment and i like my shaders. Id just really like to ditch windows to be honest and the only thing keeping me dual booting is no plugin that works like petes 2.9. OpenGL GPU 1.78 i just figured it would be a nice base for a new plugin to replace the 2.9 which everyone uses since it is technically a older version of 2.9. I use amd exclusively like you do i dont actually use the P.E.Op.S. Now edgblas's is getting decent somewhat and it supports filters but its sometimes a pain and you have to set things up funny or else you get blurry picture also its not a hardware accelerated plugin its software. The 2.9 plugin is great it does need some work though and its been bugging me why no one has tried to make a plugin like it opensource because psx emulation is still big. But ive read people have tried to contact the pete guy to get the source for 2.9 and he hasn’t responded. ![]() ![]() To me opensource is the way to go so things can be fixed and worked on by whoever. Honestly ive used edgbla's before and its settings are different but it just doesnt work quite like the hardware plugin though. ![]()
